We liked the fact we received a great price for a hotel on the outskirts of Pamplona for the "Running of the Bulls" especially relative to most comparable hotels in the city and surrounding area. The location was conveniently located at a bus stop, which made it easy to find. The room was clean and confortable.
The staff does not speak much English, therefore specific requests such as a wake-up call request may be difficult to communicate (i.e. no clocks in many rooms in Europe). Also, the continental breakfast is overpriced, but the restaurant is a nice feature for a small hotel.
It was a very convenient stop en route. It was minutes off the ap15, easy to find and easy to get back onto the motorway the next morning. We stayed here on the way back too. Would thoroughly recomment this hotel for any sort of stay but particularly an overnight stop. Ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with good bathrooms. Staff were very helpful and the receptionist on duty spoke good English.
Good price. Very convenient for Pamplona, as bus ran every 20 minutes from outside hotel.
Smoking was allowed in breakfast room (which doubles as a cafe). The Spanish will have a rude awakening on 1st January 2011, when the smoking ban comes into force.
Hotel was located in a nice village/suburb outside pamplona but really close if you have a car. Very pretty hotel, with a nice balcony and a nice quiet outdoor cafe. Overall very well priced, much cheaper than one would expect!
Slightly small room, but for that price no one can complain. Big bathroom though and very clean.
Good location close to Pamplona just opposite the bus station, very helpful staff, nice rooms.
Very pleasant hotel, accommodating and well signposted. We took two dogs and they were well looked after.
Easy access from the motorway and into Pamplona
The fact that almost all the staff were friendly and helpful.
The miserable barman on Saturday evening.
We had a lovely room and a good breakfast. Very good value for money and a convenient location.
We did not know anywhere to go for dinner in the immediate area.
Modern new rooms with good amenities, friendly and helpful staff and good restaurant on site.
The room rate was extremenly high but it was due to the event going on.
A lively bar with an outdoor cafe, plus a formal restaurant for weekends.A great value hotel if you're visiting Pamplona with a bus stop outside the door
Buffet breakfast with flies all over the meats and cheeses. Our advice. Don't eat it. Wait until you get to Pamplona and go to McDonalds for breakfast!
I liked the room and the restaurant. The location, 7 minutes far from Pamplona, perfect!
Mattress is not so comfortable, because it is very tough.
Excellent rooms, food and ambience.
We needed an overnight stay approximately half way between Valencia and Perigueux, France. Friendly, helpful staff provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We did the same trip in January 2011 and stayed in another hotel in Pamplona, but this was very disappointing so we will probably stay at the Casa Azcona on our next trip down to Spain and back.
Disappointed that the main restaurant was not open but the small cafe served a very good evening meal. There was no hand rail on the stairs. We were only on the first floor and preferred to use the stairs rather than the lift.
The hotel was of very high standard and really good value for money. Although the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed we had an excellent meal in the attached cafeteria.
